My name is Dan Maier.
I am an almost 52 year old Sagittarius originally from Brasov (Transylvania), a beautiful mountain town in the heart of Romania. I am an optimistic, sunny person surrounded by a wonderful family .
I love traveling. I have had the opportunity to visit various countries; Italy, France, Ireland, England, Canada, Greece, Spain etc etc
I must specify that I am not a professional but a photography enthusiast. I take photographs to convey the emotions I feel at that precise moment and not to make money.
Mine is a passion that has lasted for a long time, however, only for 3 years have I started to dedicate myself seriously to photography. I read a lot, study and learn about photographic techniques. I prefer to photograph nature (wildlife and landscapes). I love people but for the moment I don't feel ready to photograph them. Trees and my landscapes probably have more patience with me.
When I decide to stop and capture a landscape, I just think I can convey my emotion to others; freeze the image and make you feel the atmosphere you breathe at that precise moment.
I use the manual mode for landscape and landscape photos and the diaphragm or time mode for wildlife.
